Start your morning with mimosas available from 10 AM until closing. At 11 AM, Jolene Stratton Philo will give a brief introduction to her West River Mysteries series, followed by a live reading from her book, See Jane Run! Book sales and signing opportunities will be available before and after the reading.
During Mimosas at the Winery, you’ll learn more about Jolene’s journey from the classroom to the literary world. After teaching for 25 years, Jolene shifted her focus to writing and speaking full-time. She began her career by balancing freelance writing with leadership in a local organization, eventually connecting with a literary agent through a writing conference.
See Jane Run! is the first book in the West River Mystery series. Set in 1977, it follows 21-year-old Jane Newell, a determined amateur sleuth fresh out of college. After moving to Little Missouri, South Dakota, Jane finds herself at the center of a hit-and-run murder investigation. With quirky characters like Merle Laird and Velma the janitor offering advice, Jane’s story promises humor, heart, and plenty of mystery.
The full series includes See Jane Run!, See Jane Sing!, See Jane Dance!, and See Jane Dig!. Each book offers readers an engaging glimpse into Jane’s evolving adventures.
